What's the score?

Before any explanations as to why it has been so quiet, I’m glad to announce MKB is still on going and will be launching a new format in the near future. But first a little history about MKB.

The idea of MKB is purely a fun format to raise cash for charities and other deserving causes. The plan was whenever I (the Ref) had some downtime from my usually sporadic freelance work , I would get the ball out and go kicking. Typically however, work has been non stop since early 2008 and I just haven’t had the time. During this busy period I have however been able to look ways of improving the MKB format.

At the moment Monies raised are looked after by Football Aid and then distributed to charities at the end of the season. After much thought I feel it would be better to let organisers of MKB events keep all donations on the day. Therefore the new year will see MKB offered as a totally free fundraiser for your charity/cause. The ball and goal will be brought to your event free of charge and you will get to keep 100% of all donations made on the day. Any charity wishing to make use of this free fundraiser please get in touch.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved so far, especially Football Aid, Phil Powell, Ray Stubbs, Richard Chaplow, Adnan Ahmed, George Galloway and Channel 5’s Police Interceptors.

The first Donations will be made soon. Please stick with us.
